 Post subject: Flash based devices and Manufacturer Consolidation

Do you guys think the # of flash based drives manufacturers will consolidate within 5 years? 10 years?

Or just what your opinion?

well we've seen a bit of it, similar behaviour with Micron/Spectec and Intel, but if you look at the brand of flash drive then the manuf of the NAND nothing really makes sense :). Speaking of Toshiba and Kingston type of deal where you could have anything inside them

I think what will happen is that the technology will change away from easily produced NANDs and not all current Manuf's will be able to follow it, so maybe they will merge or partner up
