Seagate ST310211A cannot find by bios

i ha d seagate hdd and model: st310211a P/N: 9R4005-401 Configuration Level.: 2DFAAA Configuration Code: YPO03 and Firmware 3.39 but when I turn on the computer and enter the bios settings the motherboard bios cannot recognize the hdd at the same time I m sure my motherboard, ide cable and power sockets are working properly and how can i solve this problem ?
