Hey guys,
today I got a new Task from the local law enforcement. 16x 160GB and one 1TB drive in a shoe box. All I know is that the drives where extracted from a 24 Bay Machine. So some drives are missing. Raid level is unknown, drive order is unknown. The 1TB HDD.... no Idea so far.
I see, that this job is going to suck....

Let me know if you want some help. I might be able to help simplify it for you, especially if there was a hardware RAID controller involved.

Thank you for your offer. May be I'm going to need it. I also have another case currently in mail where maybe I need your help with a raid.
But with this task.....
I don't know, but everything sucks with this task / case. 17 drives. Not in a HDD transportation enclosure, but in a shoe box. Missing drives. And this 1TB drive on top.
My main problem is currently, that I don't want to touch this drives at all. I also don't want to know, what's on the drives.
