I'm a little lost with Seagate's new series.
I'll try to compare Seagate product lines as I understand them in terms of targeted usage, with Western Digital's colors.

The "standard" desktop/laptop line. ~ WD Blue
Barracuda Pro ~ WD Se

The "performance" line for games, workstations ~ WD Black line
(By Seagate this line is SSHD.)

The "NAS" line.
Ironwolf Standard ~ WD Red
Ironwolf Pro ~ WD Gold (previously Re) lines

The videosurveillance line ~ WD purple

Where things become more complex ...
- Firecuda series have a 5 years warranty (like the Ironwolf Pro)
- As far as I know, there are currently no 2.5'' drives in Ironwolf series. Then, the closest equivalent of a "WD mobile red" would be a Firecuda drive in 2.5'' form factor.

Concerning vibrations of stacked drives, I'm not certain if they are already an issue with two drives in a RAID 1, or if concern truely arises only with stacks of four and more drives.

Stacked drives are not necessary Network Attached Storages (NAS), as they can be RAID 1 in USB 3.0 or eSATA.
It is not obvious for me if the NAS optimization was designed with concurrent access in mind or if this more an optimization to support vibrations, or both.

Hence I'm not sure if a small two drives configuration in an RAID 1 USB 3.0 enclosure (for one unique user) can use Firecuda drives or should use Ironwolf ones.

Please do not debate in this thread that one brand is better than another and stay focused on the understanding of the product lines. Thanks.
