Seagate Data Recovery Procedure:
1) You register your case with seagate.
2) Drive submitted to their local collection office.
3) Drive sent to Netherlands (Seagate Office).
4) Drive sent to lab for analysis.
5) if found logical case, they recover data if possible and copy to another new drive.
6) if found physical case, they recover data if possible and copy to another new drive.
7) if data is recovered, seagate will inform customer about that. But never shares the information of how much data has been retrieved. ( not even data screenshot sent on email ) .

Seagate ships the new drive directly to customer's address ( Data included)
9) Customer had to pay around 100$ ( depends on the drive invoice ) as custom duty to clear the package. ( as per my country custom policy )
10) if data is not recovered and customer want patient drive back with the new drive ( Still had to pay custom duty )
11) if data is not recovered and customer don't want the patient drive back, seagate local office will ship a new replacement drive to customer without any additional cost. ( Case Closed )
12) seagate data recovery engineers are same like any other DR Pros. They also deal with the same senario.
13) Seagate lab resources : few Pc3k, few Dfl, few deepspar and ofcourse seagate factory resources. ( maybe more but i heard these through my connections )
14) But seagate lab do have latest generation drives afh resources which 99% DR Pros worldwide don't have till date.
