Hi everybody,

I'm french, interested in HDD working, and thanks to website translators, I can often use documentation and read advices of the russian community.
But sometimes, when I'm ready to test softwares (for example HDDL, or CP), I can't read the README.TXT or even use the SW, because here is what I have to understand:
==============================================
‘«ã¦¥¡ ï §® ã TM.

‚ í⮬ ¥¡®«ì讬 ⥪á⥠®¯¨áë¢ ¥âáï áâàãªâãà á«ã¦¥¡®© §®ë ã TM. Ž
®â«¨ç ¥âáï ®â ST/SE ¢§ ¨¬ë¬ à ᯮ«®¦¥¨¥¬ ¯®«¥©, â ª¦¥ ¨ ä®à¬ ⮬
¥ª®â®àëå ¯®«¥©,  ¯à¨¬¥à ¢â®à¨çëå «®£®¢ ᥫä᪠ . “ TM, â ª¦¥

........

Obviously, translators don't really help me in this case....

There is surely a way to modify the options in my web browser (firefox) or work with an interpreter.... don't know....

thanks for any advice...

The problem is codepages. Russian text can be typed in different codepages, such as: windows-1251 (CP866), DOS, KOI-8 and so on… You have to convert it to what your software understands. For example, windows notepad understands only Windows-1251/CP866. Documentation for HDDL is in DOS. So, you will have to convert it first from DOS to CP866.

Dear Dmitry, do you know any Russian websites that give an online lecture (hopefully free !) for students to learn Russian language ? I'm very interested ! I only understand "Nyet", "Da", Sluzebhka", and other just about HDD.... :) . But I want to know more...I have a lot of Russian Novels and thesis, and I just can't read them. My country published a dictionary (long time ago - 1965) but now it's not available anymore.... :cry:

Any advice ?
