I've been encountering this problem for some time, and am finally asking about it. I never can get HDDScan to do offline self tests on sata drives. It shows "executing" for about one second, and then "finished", but obviously the test wasn't performed. This is true whether the drive is holds the OS or not. I'm usually running Windows 7, and usually 32 bit. Thanks.
