Hello guys,

Recently I had a HDD damaged (physical) and lost many important data. The good thing is that I had an copy of most data on my PC that I recently deleted. For that reason, I am looking for a good software to try to recover these deleted files from my PC.

I've already used GetDataBack software from Runtime.org, but I don't know if it is recommended.

Please, does anyone could help on with this doubt?

R-Studio and GetDataBack are recommended. If these fail, I would think that barring actual hardware/physical issues, incorrect settings, or the actual meaning of "recently" ... you are S.O.L. :-(

According to our experience, UFS Explorer tends to yield better results, so that's what we use the most.

I'm also facing such problem. I deleted almost all data from 350GB partition of my 500GB HD. After that I didn't write any data in that partition.
I need to recover only one or two folders having pictures (around 60-70GB picture out of 350GB drive).

as recommended above, use r-studio, get databack or UFS Explorer.

Will I be able to do folder wise recovery using above mentioned applications? I tired to do it using PhotoRec (TestDisk) where I couldn't be able to retrieve data folder wise. All the files (including images, jpg) come under a unified folder names.
I'll check the suggested applications and update here.

Have a look at Active@ File Recovery. The Pro version will automatically place recovered files in folders named from the metadata in the recovered files.

I've tired with Active File Recovery for Windows. It is showing the folder where all the pictures were stored. But, there is no files in this folder. Screenshot given for more clarification.

You had said, "All the files (including images, jpg) come under a unified folder names. " I mentioned Active@ File Recovery Pro because it can place recovered files into folders whose names reflect the meta data in the recovered files. Not as good as recovering original folder and file names but helpful none-the-less and certainly better than saving them with random file names in randomly generic folders.
