Hi there, thanks in advance for any guidance given...

I wanted to clone an sd card to another card using HDD Raw Copy but accidently clicked on the wrong disc when selecting the target location...

I cancelled as soon as I noticed (it hadn't even got to 1% complete in this time).

I have effectively now turned my laptops 1TB HDD (which is almost full of videos/music/photos etc...) into a 64GB SD Card...

I've searched online but am no expert in this field and am hoping someone can point me in the correct direction to easily recover my data and return the HDD to it's original 1TB glory?

Again, thanks in advance...

It is one thing to be faster than Malmsteen, but you also need to be accurate! ;-)

you should be able to use R-Studio or GetDataBack to scan the whole disc and get most of your files back. apart from what was overwritten by the process.

BTW, well done on asking before rushing out trying a bunch of stuff before maybe making more mistakes. Seen it happen often.

Follow HaQue's advice, just make sure you boot from another disk, use your data disk as slave and save any files found on another disk, not the same disk you are trying to recover!

If you decide to try R-Studio:
If you can take the hard drive out of your laptop: R-Studio: Data recovery from a non-functional computer
If you cannot take the hard drive out of your laptop: Emergency File Recovery Using R-Studio Emergency
And a very useful article to understand how data recovery works and what to expect from data recovery: File Recovery Basics: How Data Recovery Works.
