"Recovery Explorer Professional" version 6.10 supports Apple Core Storage volumes:
- Assembly of FusionDrive storages;
- FileVault2 root volumes decryption;
- Decryption of encrypted file systems (FDE).

This is the first I've heard of "Recovery Explorer Professional". The best I've been able to figure out, it is a rebranding of Raise Data Recovery, an offshoot from UFS Explorer. Anyone have more details, perhaps a side-by-side comparison of the two? Which is better? Judging by the prices listed on the SysDev site, UFS Pro is the more expensive option. Am I correct it is still the top tier product from them?

First I'm hearing too. I'm liking the look of it from the pictures on the site:

Looks like they tried to merge UFSExplorer with some R-Studio.

It's definitely produced by same people as UFSExplorer:

I see some definite branching of the two. For example REP has a new sidebar for hex analysis that UFS doesn't have. It has options for imaging drives as well, and better support for opening up drive images which are broken up into chunks.

It is however stripped of the support for UFS filesystem which UFSExplorer does have (I suppose since it's part of the name). However, with REP I see that VMFS is now added to the filesystem search menu where it wasn't there in UFSExplorer. I'm assuming it's able to do more with that filesystem now beyond just browse it when it's perfectly healthy.

It also feels more stable and snappy than UFS ever did. I'm thinking this may be their new development branch of the software and is the one getting the updates now.

There is another difference. Pricing model is different. Ufs explorer pro is a fixed price for v5 e.g. The new product is an annual license Similar to say rstudio.
