Hello,
I am sorry to ask but on the MAKEBAD bootable utility, which uses MHDD to mark weak sectors (slow sectors) as bad, are options 2 and 3 destructive?
It was not clear to me, as I understand those are the options to scan with MHDD and mark weak sectors as bad/unc, but is the data in that sector erased, or is it first moved to a good sector or else-wise made safe to prevent data loss? I.E. in a ideal situation with no complications can I expect no data loss on a drive after running this, or is it destructive to the data when it marks the sectors bad?
