Hello everybody, this is Damon, from RecoveryRus. I am happy to share with you our latest metal head comb for Seagate LM Slim HDD.

This tool was specially designed for Seagate laptop Slim hard drives with 1 platter 2 heads and 2 platters 4 heads and these heads park on one external ramp.

The tool adopts high-precision design with 304 stainless Steel material. The most important, the head combs keep automatic parallel to the head arms when the heads are separately securely and the head comb will lock the heads properly without any unnecessary move. This is to ensure the platter will not be scratched due to any minor angles between the head combs and arms. At the same time, it has a handle or holder to help us with the install and uninstall, it is very easy to use.

Seagate LM Slim HDD Head Comb Suite.Standard contains two head combs:
ST Slim 2H, used for Seagate slim hdds with 2 heads;
ST Slim 4H, used for Seagate slim hdds with 4 heads.
Both names are clearly and properly put on the head comb itself, when users get the head combs, it is easy to learn which head comb is for 2 heads’ Slim HDDs and which head comb is for 4 heads’ slim HDDs.

Given that head combs are all designed to fit into the same tight space with the same tight tolerances, I suppose it's only natural that they all look pretty much the same. If they looked significantly different they probably wouldn't fit right.

Phillips screwdrivers all look pretty much the same, but I don't hear Stanley or Craftsman reps constantly bitching about it.

I will not go down to the level of commenting words of someone who does not have even common decency in talking to another person.
Using bad words and swearing is not nice, at least this is how my parents brought me up.

I've got quite an extensive log of Skype conversations and some nasty PMs I've had with you that say otherwise. You've sworn at me a number of times and using much worse words. Your nasty words and attitude is why I banned you and your products from my forum.

Thank you for all your comments.

We all know that the head comb function is to separate the heads and control the movement to the proper location so that we can remove the parking ramp and move out the heads for swap.

The difference of all products is on the precision and small details.
1. Slim head tool from RecoveryRus was tested on the latest 2017 Seagate SLIM hdds, it work out properly.
2. Slim head tool from RecoveryRus was designed with a smart handle to assist the head comb installation and uninstallation, it is easy to use.
3. Slim head tool from RecoveryRus was designed with a V shape form, not completely Parallel design, this can help users avoid scratching the platters.
4. Slim head tool from RecoveryRus was made by 304 stainless Steel material.

Besides, there are some other unique tools from RecoveryRus, such as Smart Platter Exactor, Scratched HDD head comb.

As far as we know, they are a few companies in worldwide manufacturing hard drive repair related tools including the head combs. Such as in Russia, India, China. I believe products from other suppliers may lool like similar. But similarity does not mean copy.

Copied and designed are not the same thing.
We will continue to develop new things, hopefully one day there will be a low there that will prevent such things.
It is not going to be soon, but we have time.

Hi guys,

I just want to post one image, you will notice that these tools are basically copies of HddSurgery tools.

All parts, except the holders and some minor design alterations, are taken from our product. Idea how to disassemble the heads and ramp, how to mount the tool, how to secure the heads with additional carriers etc.

Saying that this is not true is just a misconception, things should be called in their real names.

That somebody would be wrong. ( we would not make them if we could have buy them or get them, we make tools for our own use first )
On the other hand I have invoices that shows they bought tools from us.
