How long does it take to get a WDMarvel License key?

February 5th, 2018, 11:17

I purchased Saturday afternoon via PayPal and have gotten anything. I have posted on the WDMarvel about this but got nothing.

Is this typical for this program?

Thanks I'm sure he is a busy guy.

I went with the 1 month to test a this point, but yeah no reason not to buy in for life if this goes well.

just a slow fix on a USB WD, so should go off without a hitch (hopefully ha)

I don't have WDR at this point. Not totally sure where to get that. Can you point me in the right direction?

As far as the "deal with slow drive" function in WDMarvel. Is it not identical in result to what you describe? Not doubting you in any way, just trying to understand if does some thing different than your posted method.

Thank you as always

Just a general question. I see that there is a firmware update available for this drive. I do believe i have plenty of use time to get it updated. I am consistently getting about 10 minutes out of it before it slows to a halt.

Is there any indication from WD that is is something resolved in a firmware update? I have to imagine they would be aware of and want to stop the failures.

There “may” be a chance they’ve made some updates to the firmware but chances are NOT, judging but the young age of the drives we are still getting with same/similar issues.

In any case, a fw update would be exactly that. An UPDATE and not a REPAIR :-(

Key has been received.

I ran the update. No change other than now it also mounts a virtual CDrom with the wd software on it
