DDI4 KB shortcuts and solution to troubled blocks & sectors.

May 28th, 2018, 11:47

I personally feel like we, those of us who've made money off the ideas of the most helpful at reasonable prices, to make a cheatsheet we can all use; and, for him to be allowed to give it away when we're done.

F-10, spin up source drive.
F-11, spin down source drive.
ctrl + G = Go to a specific sector
ctrl + pge up or down = direction and move to next good or bad block.
Spacebar - jump down the set number of blocks.

(many more, I will add more when I'm not falling asleep and hope others do too)
PLEASE add a few you like. I will consolidate it and place it in this thread - hopefully it's stickied.

As far as the letters corresponding with the type or reason for a failed read, we should create a list of reasons you experts use tactics in those scenarios of how to control the imaging process.

I will add on and on to this, and hope to create a pamphlet that we all can use (as we'd all learn) as well as for Andrei to see that we collectively appreciate his gratitude.
