I could need a software that is able to dump raw flash sectors through an Alcor AU6989 USB controller. Does anyone know a software that can do it? (Alcor-MP isn't very useful for raw flash dumping) If there is nothing available, I will have to develop it myself.

Your question is missing some details, and even if were present I am not sure I have seen much aside from "BadUSB" that could help in this project.

IMHO, missing details:
* do you need this device with your custom firmware to read one specific NAND chip or many different ones? If the latter, maybe a reader from Soft Center, or better, a full VNR kit would save you potentially years of work. And other Microcontrollers would be a better choice.
* do you need it to also do ECC and de-whitening? if so, same answer.
* is this idea for your own storage, say of some data that you then want to red? if so, better (SD for example) solutions would be far easier.

You may be able to get closer with some of the "blank" USB board from say Alibaba that have a USB plus controller but no NAND chip. I am not sure what they supply with it, but Iassume some king of devkit should be sold or available otherwise how would you be able to add a NAND chip?

Lastly, if you want to develop it yourself, then you are probably going to need to reverse engineer some current devices. A great help could be Maddie Stones Embedded toolkit. This is a few scripts for IDA that attempt to save a lot of work figuring out functions/strings/code/data etc. I ran a quick scan of some firmwares from Phison_PS2251_UP19_CTool_v3.05 (8051) and quite a lot of functions defined, so could see with a bit of work you could reverse some firmware of either ARM or 8051 a lot easier. You can define your own processors as well.

could be a great help for conventional HDD RE as well https://github.com/maddiestone/IDAPythonEmbeddedToolkit
