Hello.
I have some PCs that they are slow, I want to test my HDD performance and I'm thankful if anyone introduces some tools for it.

Thank you.

If you don't have something like a DDI4, RapidSpar, PC-3000 DE or any other hardware based cloning/image device I would say that your first priority would be to clone/image the possible damaged drive with ddrescue or hddsuperclone to a known good drive and/or extract the data / backup.

If it's possible to access to the drive normaly just backup all the data !!! You should have a backup anyway ...

Now you can erase the entire drive to do some testing. Also check s.m.a.r.t. , etc ...

Good luck.

In case of doubt just buy a brand new HGST drive and avoid Seagate at all cost !
