 Post subject: HDD Raw Copy Tool...logic problem

Hey guys,

i hope somebody can help me, but i am stuck right now...
i downloaded HDD Raw copy tool cause one of my HDD's is ultra slow (sectors are damaged)...

I want to copy all the files from the Damaged HDD (I:) to another empty HDD(X:)
The thing is...i dont know what to choose when using the HDD Raw copy tool...i guess its just my logic problem-.-

I have to select SOURCE first and then TARGET..but which one should i pick as SOURCE and TARGET?i strangely dont understand it- and i dont want to make a mistake...please help :-/ :?:

If the drive is failing, then your very likely to kill it with that tool.

If the data is at all important then send to a pro with pro hardware cloning tools, it shouldn’t cost much AT THIS STAGE.

If you don’t care for the data and accept that you’re likely to kill it for good with DIY attempts(or at least make it more expensive for a pro) then try using “hddsuperclone”. It’s free tool, search this forum.

If your drive is a WD you might really want to apply the slow fix patch first .... if it's a Seagate F3 you should check how to disable re-loaction and lacking something better at least use some Congen commands ...

But again if data is of some value consider to use the services of a professional ...

If you clone the empty destination to the full source the data will be replaced with zeros and then it will be 100% UN-RECOVERABLE for good (even with the best of professionals in the world).
