Hello,
in order to try recovering a seagate hdd i ordered a new pcb that has a le25fs40 eeprom. the old pcb has a winbond25q40bw eeprom.
But i didn't find these eeprom in the list of the devices compatible with the ch341 programmer. So i don't know if copying the content of the old eeprom toward the new one is possible.
is there somebody who can indicate me if it's possible and how? How must i program the ch341a in order to make this copy?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

hello,
Thank you for your answer.
With the ch341a programmer i will have a 1,8v adapter...but how the programmer can detect the above eeproms that are not listed as compatible parts?
Thank you in advance for lightening me about that.

Use NeoProgramer as the software for the CH341.

hello,
thank you for your answer...but in the list of the compatible devices given with neoprogrammer i don't find the above eeproms. I guess that i have to replace it with ones of similar properties?
for the 25q40bw i could use the 25q40ew but for the 25fs40 i have not yet found the simlilar one.
If you have something to advice me thank you in advance.

Hello,
Thank you for your advices...
Finally as i didn't succeed having good results with ch341 used with different softwares i forgave this solution and i swaped the eeproms between the two pcb unsoldering the one on the old pcb to solder it on the new pcb that i screwed on the hdd.
But i had not the hoped results...
With a sata-usb device interface between my hdd and the pc i only got a "removable disk, - no média" detection in the disks manager.
When i reconnect the hdd with the external usb interface i got a "unknown disk - not initialised" detection in the disks manager.
i tried on several pc with the same results.
in the past i succeeded to watch the spinning of the hdd so i thought that the disk itself was ok. Now i dont know what to think.
I tried using seatools software but this one crashed when i wanted to test or repair the disK.
i have not informations about the dimensions and volumes of the disk, apparently zeros everywhere.
is there somebody who can help me to go further trying to get something for this hdd?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
