How can I power this HDD i've linked an image. I have a usb to sata connetion which works for all my other HDD/SSD but this one has another thing required? Not sure what it needs. From looking at the picture can anyone tell? many thanks!

I realise, I'm certain that's not the issue (theres another identical one with the screws in that also behaves the same). I believe this needs to be powered other than USB alone and Im trying to find out what cable is required |

3.5" drives use both 5V and 12V, whereas 2.5" drives use only 5V. USB provides only 5V, so you can power up only 2.5" drives without external power supply (12V). |

Great thanks, So it looks like I need a 12v for my 3.5" HDD here, is that just a sata that can plug into a wall? |
