After seeing dolphindatalab post for their new "HDD ROM Chip Pin Reader Set" got shocked by the price
https://www.dolphindatalab.com/product/ ... mer-smart/

I have it for years before dolphindatalab announced it, the same exact tools for much less. which you find here:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3295968 ... 4c4dUtuGcw
You will need only Pin Distance 5.5mm and 6.4mm

It really helped me a lot, and saved my time soldering and desolating, and also I can use the PCB many many time without damaging it, So I decided to share this it may help you too.

ISTM that it would be safer if the probe had a feature which prevented it from slipping off the pins. Maybe a foam or rubber cube between the top of the IC and the base of the probe would stabilise the jig? I'm assuming the pins are spring loaded pogo pins.

it is spring-loaded, so no slipping
