I have a 6 x RAID 5 with a missing drive. RAID parameters are known and the RAID mounts in R-Studio with a missing drive. I am trying to make a reverse RAID of the missing drive but having issues. I built the RAID in the right panel. But when right clicking on the Virtual Block RAID in the drives panel it does not allow me to create the reverse RAID. What am I missing (or doing wrong)?

Hi, try to watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DDx-wAwR54
Read this article: https://www.r-studio.com/RAID_Recovery_ ... tion.shtml
(these results found in Google search for keywords "r-studio build raid video")

Also you may try another software i.e. UFS Explorer or Recovery Explorer

Hi Iurii, Unfortunately I think R-Studio might have a glitch as you cannot select a reverse RAID from the dropdown when in the Virtual Block RAID (see pic). I know the videos and manual say you can, but in the current version you can't.

I would love to use UFS Explorer Pro (as you know) but didn't think that option was available in UFS. ie rebuilding a missing drive?

Right-click Partition1 and Create Reverse RAID will be enabled. You cannot create the _entire_ hard drive, because it has to contain some service information unique to each RAID.

Almost all kind of reverse raids can be also created in UFS Recoevery Pro using RDL function
