Description​
RWRS (Read/Write Repair Station) is used for hard disk sector Erasing, Reading and Verify.
It also has a function to check hard disk S.M.A.R.T.


How to use?
First you have to extract the software.
Now run TestModeOn.bat as administrator and wait for its success message.
Restart your pc.
Now run RWRS.exe file
To set SATA port, goto Menu (Settings->Set SATA Port)
Find your Port with Base, ALT and DMA Address.
Once the port is set. (if hdd is connected to port, you will get Ready status Blue lights in RWRS main screen)
Now run your required test.


Important to know:
This Utility is Free for everyone. (DON'T PAY MONEY TO ANYONE)
For Write/Read test, DMA address should be the same as its available in the Scan Port section. (if you want to enter DMA Address Manually, then be sure that the address is correct, otherwise Write and Read test will not start OR gives you fake Result)
This software works only through PIO mode. (In bios Set Drive Configuration to IDE or ATA mode)
All Microsoft windows from XP are supported (XP, Win7, Win8, Win10)
Both 32-bit and 64-bit version are supported

Do you see any advantage over Victoria?

Is it posible to scan the HDD by minizones (or microzones) entered externally or by zone tables?

Yes
there is a difference as compared to victoria.


RWRS writing speed is 133MB/s on PIO mode

Victoria write speed is maximum 5MB/s in PIO mode.

RWRS is just a write and verify utility, dont have Minizone Scan.

you can save RWRS defect logs. and use my software to move defects.

also there is option to convert RWRS log to Victoria log. because some software like Sediv or other support import victoria log.

Its UDMA max speed is 133mb/s
I am using it through IDE mode. Without detect hdd in windows.
Direct access to sata port by base,alt and dma address

Enough to clear the MBR and then to turn to normal mode.

Yes its is difficult to add minizone in rwrs.

For minizone we have to get access to hdd fw completely. My main utility for each brand hdd have write and read test as per mini zones.

Also for those who want to erase only mbr. They can use any utility.

Its good for those who want to test hdd first 1gb for write and verify.

Here if you get 5mb/s write speed. Then its takes long time.

Like me, i have to test hdd quickly. So i added a button head test
It will write 500nb of a 320gb hdd and then verify. If have error. It show bad head msg.

But if i use victoria
First i have to erase mbr.
Then i have to detect hdd in windows
Then selete hdd again
Then start write and it hdd gives an error. Then driver auto unplug from windows.
And test fail.


With rwrs. There is just 1 click.
No need detect hdd in windows.
No need select write and read test manually.
Just press 1 button head test.
And wait few second for result


Rwrs good to.
Victoria is a great utility.

But soon i will add AHCI mode access.
