 Post subject: HDD Raw Copy Tool...logic problem

Hey guys,

i hope somebody can help me, but i am stuck right now...
i downloaded HDD Raw copy tool cause one of my HDD's is ultra slow (sectors are damaged)...

I want to copy all the files from the Damaged HDD (I:) to another empty HDD(X:)
The thing is...i dont know what to choose when using the HDD Raw copy tool...i guess its just my logic problem-.-

I have to select SOURCE first and then TARGET..but which one should i pick as SOURCE and TARGET?i strangely dont understand it- and i dont want to make a mistake...please help.

Hi,
is your hard drive a Western Digital?
This type of hdd often suffer of slow access speed when bad sectors grow up.
With professional tools is possible to solve this issue and clone fast after.

It might be also possible that the hard drive has weak heads (or some bad heads).
Need to check the drive physically with a correct diagnosis to determine what the real problem is.

il tuo disco rigido è un Western Digital per caso?
Questo tipo di hdd spesso soffre di una bassa velocità di accesso quando cominciano a formarsi dei danni ai settori.
Con strumenti professionali è possibile risolvere questo problema e clonare rapidamente dopo.

Potrebbe anche essere possibile che il disco rigido abbia qualche testina debole (o testine difettose).
È necessario controllare fisicamente l'unità con una diagnosi corretta per determinare quale sia il vero problema.

Pro tools are PC3000 or MRT or DFL.

Eventually you can add Deepspar for disk imaging and a cheaper but even a good one is HDDsuperclone.

But most important: knowledge of what are you doing. You can have a scalpel but that doesn't make you a doctor.
