Hi All

I am using PC3000 (very legal version) but the information in the manuals supplied on Toshiba 2.5 hard drive is quite sparse. Some drives (30GB, 40 GB, 60 GB and 80 GB) only have space 1023 defects in their G-List yet some others have much more.

ANyone any good hard info on these drives. The first paragraph in the PC 3000 maual on Toshiba 2.5 hard drives say that they are a peculiar drive.

I think that the best option will be to ask acelab (if you are a legal customer, then you should have access to their support forums as well as support email etc).

Hope this helps...

I did make it clear that I have a very legal copy - and I did state that the documentation supplied on Toshiba 2.5 hard drives is very sparse.

The question was NOT about Acelab's card but about whether anybody on this forum had information on particular Toshiba drives. If I have problems with Acelab's hardware THEN my "best option" would be to contact Acelab.

Hope this helps you to READ the questions. 8)

Thanks, I have no problem reading stuff ;-)

However it seems like you did not read my answer 8)

Let me try to explain: AceLab has two internal forums where all customers discuss their issues. And Acelab is used to answer customer's questions (including questions like you have asked - about the documentation or even recovering a specific drive). And that is why I have suggested their forums, just because I am sure that you would get your answers much faster and with more details.

In other words, I know Acelab, I know you'd receive your answer there and that could save your time. And now you're saying I cannot read questions.

PS. Actually, since I am the moderator here, I HAVE to read all the stuff... :D

Hi qmosin

Thanks again ... the info on those forums (re Toshibas) is sparse too. I'm having to clear the G-List, then re-Tune the drive on another PC - and then have PC3000 verifiy the drive. Some drives (of all sizes) can take MORE than 1023 defects but as yet I don't detect a pattern in them. Puzzling! :x
