hi to all can someone tell me if this program is for pata drives only. i heave sata drive that this program doesent reckognise at all. if there is a setting for this program to enable sata drive please share it with me. |

Are you running it directly from the SATA port on your mainboard? If so, I think HDD repair only work off IDE. So you will need to run your SATA drive through a IDE>SATA adaptor. Sean |

but i think sata drives have different firmware structure then that of ide so i think it will not work on sata drives . |

yes its a good freeware utility for repairing maxtor and WD firmware . |

Hi, gurus I have one error-free and data-free donor drive, NAR61HA0, and playing with HDD repair 1.1, i have made this to NAR61HAZ.  Is there a way, to fix this kind or error with 2.0 version? The drive has ARDENT cpu, but the hdd repair shows only DSP and POKER. Can somebody help me a little? Thanks, Janos |

Hello Somebody have a loader for this model? 6E020L0510231, K,G,G,A, B8FEA I have already tryd all the loader i have including the one 6E020L on the files in forum, but no one works for me. Additionally i forget to build own loader for this drive, and now i can't make it alive again... Thank you for all who want to help me, Regards, Janos |

Hi, Someone has a loader, ram, rom, modules everything needed for fixing with HDD repair 2.0 ENG this Maxtor hdd, I think the above has to be extracted with this software and not with pc-3000. model 4d04h2 hda 22a pcba 09a unique P1a code DAK019k0 c2 4d040h22209P1 3902B679 K,G,C,B Poker C.3 CPU ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is detected in safe mode as: Maxtor ROMULUS F/W DAK03OKZ (should be DAK019K0?) Hi ! I too have a failed 40 Giga Maxtor Diamond Plus 8 (Ardent; NAR61590 K,M,C,A ; 6E040L0510605). Would the free program HDDRepair, as advertised on this thread, rewrite the firmware ? ... I can't find instructions for using the program, or downloading firmware modules (are they built-in ?) - can someone charitable help just a little ? I read the FAQs and many threads, and I do understand people who make a living out of HD repairs cannot give out all their secrets, BUT, I can't afford professional recovery by any means either. I'm all willing to try this software, HDDrepair, on the disk (it's toast anyway). Thank you all and n particular, Maysoft for their patience and dedication. -- Czerno |
