 Post subject: updated to xp pro and no sound

:( :( :( hi there i hope i can get help i got a media center edition pc model # 864 n h. p .iupgraded to windows xp pro and lost my sound drivers i think need help fast

I think you're asking in the wrong place. This forum is for Hard Drive data recovery. Oddly enough, I've found most average people don't even know what Data Recovery is.

Anyway, try HP's website for sound drivers.

HP Media Center came in two variants 864 and 864n. Both MNSI MS-6577 motherboards. Standard spec (I think)( is Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 24-bit with Dolby 5....

The standard video card was an AUSTEK GeForce 4 MX440 w/128MB of memory.

You probably need the Soundblaster Live 5.1 drive update v 5.12.5.285.

Search on google for the following and choose from a certified source (such as HP support site):

SP23786.exe.
