So I was in school today installing a new PC in a classroom. Teacher asked if it is ok to install some cutesy little maths software for the Interactive Whiteboard. Sure, I say, go get it and I will do it right now.
Well it is on her external WD Elements, she plugs in the usb cable and waits, and I notice her looking a bit odd at the screen and the drive making some very strange noises... before I could speak she blurts out "OK, OK, this again!" and lifts the drive up from the desk and sharply bangs it down 3 times!

I am still ahh.. recovering while she proceeds to navigate the drive and find the software, which installs fine.

Seriously, these people are teaching OUR KIDS!

I proceed with "the speech" and go get an old 40Gb hard disk from my office and take the lid off to show her inside exactly what she is doing to it.

well the last thing I remember before the aneurism was her saying "this drive has 10 years of teaching on it.. do you think I should back it up?"

MAKE IT STOP!

"Teaching" implies somebody is learning something, so I am not even sure about that anymore :(
