 Post subject: Firmware problem with WD20EARS

i have a WD My book, that had defective headstack. That was fixed and now i have firmware problems on MOD 0033 and 0031 from P-list


I readed that if i cannot access to p-list MOD the data cannot be recoverable. is that true?

Theoretically, yes, but there are potentially some ways to work with what you have, even damaged. From your explanation, it is not clear if those ways were already pursued or not. If they were not, then can't quite be officially deemed unrecoverable, I think...

upload donor 33 and 31 module and after upload clear these modules . and after that rebuil pilst from ss log .

Unfortunately i have HD Doctor for WD and would be perfect if i had that option.

But well anyways, i will keep trying

Check for Defects list management. you will see P-List Regenerate. that would be the issue you are looking for. Also Translator Regeneration
