 Post subject: Seagate Momentus 5400.6 lost partitions

Hi there, after massive usage this disk crashed.
Now is recognized by the system but report size of 0 byte.
I tried to check with OnTrack Enterprise but every type of scan stops after 2sec with error

The model is a Seagate Momentus 5400.6 500GB 2.5" SATA drive
Any advice? Thanks

Probabilmente hai dei settori danneggiati e un crash del firmware SA.
Puoi controllare con MHDD lo stato SMART (tasto F8) e provare a fare una scansione della superficie per qualche istante (F4 x 2 volte) per poi interrompere con ESC, ma se viene davvero visto come 0LBA allora non riuscirai a fare nulla in MHDD.
E' meglio che ti rivolgi ad un professionista, tieni presente che ci potrebbe essere anche un problema di testine deboli (che non è possibile verificare con MHDD).

Ok, mhdd comunque non serve per recuperare i dati.
Con professionisti intendo DR della camera bianca e non i comuni negozi di assistenza pc.
Non dare retta ai negozi di computer se ti dicono che possono recuperare i dati, fanno solo più danni, cerca una camera bianca (in questo forum trovi anche DR italiani, esempio 'rd-simone').
Prova a contattarlo, ma devi raggiungere un certo numero di post prima di poter contattare qualcuno in pvt

I think S.M.A.R.T is fail better If you can find any data recovery Lab in your area the problem is look like Logical and data recovery chances is 100% but if proper solution is applied.... need more help I am here.

I am not sure about my advice since the hdd is not in my hand I only advise what it look like!!

Yes Dear this is true here is the story...

i know hddguru since last 5 years everything going fine since last 2 months someone trying to publish something bad about me and my company just because I am giving some profitable advise to customer. Since He start blaming me without any prove in replay I have a right to clear things. But they applying banned on my 2 account.

let's see what next?
