I forgot to say. HDD is 100% working in TV tuner but they are paired. Even TV provider can't do that  they are working on it. Tuner must be given back to provider but HDD is our property :) and it's useless.
HDD have modified firmware.

The drive appears to be "locked" by a DCO. HDAT2 should be able to unlock it.

You have asked for help in other threads, but your feedback has always been problematic. I'm still waiting for an answer to several questions, namely which tool did you use to read MOD 02, and why does your output consist of a corrupted version of MOD 0D plus 3 out of 4 sectors of MOD 02?

@locarno, the only useful information you have provided is your MOD 02 and your ROM dump. Were you able to retrieve any other MODs from your drive, particularly MOD 802F?

The "WD3200BUDT 02mod unlocked.BIN" which you obtained from some other forum is a bastardised concoction of MOD 0D and the first 3 of 4 sectors of MOD 02. MOD 0D is corrupt -- it appears that all the 00 bytes have been replaced with 20. Moreover, the master password has been changed to "WD3200BUDT" and the capacity has been reduced to 0 LBAs.

In the absence of more useful information, I propose to edit your own MOD 02, recalculate its checksum, and then use HDDHackr to apply an UNDO.BIN file to your drive. I propose to create this UNDO.BIN file using the MOD 0D in your ROM dump plus my edited version of your MOD 02.

Before I try this, can you provide MOD 802F? This will make the procedure much easier and much less risky.

@locarno, attached is an HDDHackr UNDO.BIN file which I have created from your resource dumps. I have changed only two data records in MOD 02, namely the model number (which had been filled with ASCII spaces) and the capacity. Since you will be using HDDHackr to restore your MODs rather than modifying them, the question of compatibility should not arise.

Please ensure that there is no other WD drive that could become the target for HDDHackr.

WARNING: The attached UNDO.BIN must NOT be applied to other drives, not even the same model or firmware version (01.01A01). Doing so will very likely brick the drive. That's because MOD 02 has an internal version number "00080000" which must match the original firmware.

Maybe the drive's protection is preventing access to certain VSCs? IIRC, Moltke made reference to MOD 61, but I confess I don't understand what is involved.

You could try the attached MHDD script. It will attempt to read MODs 01, 02, and 802F.

As for The HDD Oracle ...

Due to the need of urgent upgrades/updates on the HDD Oracle Server and some maintenance on the machine hosting the HDD Oracle forum, we will be off-line for a day or two.

Thanks for the attention and we will be back on line as soon as possible.

Regards.
