Dear friends and colleagues,

We need your assistance on this issue.
We have successfully developed unstick tool to unstick heads bonded to the platters of Hitachi CLA/SLA/BLA models with 2 and 3 platters.

Now, we need your assistance and advice which Hitachi unstick tool to develop next?

Which Hitachi hard drives, by your opinion are more liable to problems of head sticking to the platters?

1) VLAT, VLSA, DLA or DLAT models
2) GLAT or GLA models
3) KLA, ALA or ALE models

Thanks for you help in advance.

Best regards to you all from HddSurgery team.

I mostly see ALA with stiction. And some older VLAT maybe, but not lately.

These drive families are quite old and actually I can't remember the last time when we saw any of them with just a head stiction. Only together with a motor seizure.

So I believe it could happen that slack sales will turn such a tool turn into something close to an "internal use only".
