If you are not buying Sandforce, might help to say what you are buying, otherwise it really isn't very helpful.
I have same problem at home, ask daughter what she wants for food.. "well I don't like fish"..
Other controllers have their own issues as well, not just Sandforce. MILLIONS of people have no problems with Sandforce. (I wouldn't buy one either though, but I am not concerned for data recovery possibilities) Much better to plan for failure with backups done properly.
recovering from any SSD I would not call easy, at the very least it will stretch out your time reading 16 or more chips, your HDD space on your recovery rig and your personal time.
