Yeah, almost sure.
On laptops, when such a case appear 90% of the times is the panel.
On a 27" it will not be cheap.

We provide Apple service too. So I can confirm that it is screen failure. And yes, it will be quite expensive.

Here is a used LCD panel for AU$175:

It appears that crApple was hit with a class action over faulty 27in LG-LED-backlit displays in 2013:

Send to Frank...shouldn't be more than a $15 fix.

Any board jockey with a screwdriver shouldn't have a problem replacing a panel. There are plenty of guides on the Internet if you can't work it out for yourself.

@fzabkar

Thank you for the links - seems am not the only one suffering from this defect.
and i tried to send it to iMAC repairing tech. and he told me that screen must be changed,

saw some posts & video`s of same problem, but am thinking should i:
change it? or use Thunderbolt adapter and use another screen

feel bad about Apple really, my older iMAC is I3 and this is I7
and never had problems with the old only the damn new

thank you guys again for the tips.

Not in warranty?

I would change it. or sell it with fault and buy a new one. Personally I don't like Mac, but if you are going to pay for the nice looking kit, you need to have nice looking kit.

As Franc said, it doesn't have to be expensive, and changing screens isn't too bad.

I guess it is a personal preference if you use a thunderbolt and screen or change it. If you put a 30" in front you wont even se it back there :)

@ labtech

Well, am not going to use it in Graphix, just need speed + Mem & the most important thing is multiple windows in High resolution
nothing more.

:>
and i dont use it much btw, only in special cases thats why not worth spending on it.

Gotcha... just saying Mac view is nicer from the contrast between one another in your quality pic.
