Hi forum Sorry for the double
I have searched a shiel on the internet but cannot find the right answer for my problem, maybe You can help me to find it right.
I have one fried PCB of a Seagate 1TB ST31000520AS that does not power on.
I have also a good working same Seagate 1TB marked ST31000528AS.
Before swapping the two PCB and damaging something i have searched on the internet and found that this code (520/528) stands for the sectors the hard drive is divided ?!
So replacing the PCBs wont help me.
Is it correct?
Does someone explain me if it is still possible to swap the PCB or do I need a firmware upgrade or any other action ?
Sorry for the messy infos,
Best regards
Houseman
