 Post subject: Toshiba HDD for DR

I can't reach to userdata in Toshiba HDD 120 GB, it's Identify normally without any abnormal voice,
and it recognize all patameter correctly
and I make Backup for SA successfully
But when I try to access userdata, the HDD failed to read any sector
So, I need your help to specify the problme and solve it in order to DR.
I'm looking for your replies.

i haven't used HD Doctor for Toshiba, i don't think it has software translator option!

we have pc3k express edition, really a tool to invest.
i also have SD tools WD+Seagate but not using them from last 2 years.

I tried to make that, But without any result

HD doctor for Toshoba has this option, But I'm afraid it's don't send the instruction correctly to HDD

like I said I haven't used HD doctor, but it's a different between regenerate translator and software translator

unfortuntly, I don't have PC3K.

I also noted that when I tried to read any sector the head make abnormal sound "try to read this sector"

I record this sound, and put it in attachment.

It's almost certainly what everyone is telling you, G-list damage. SD appears to only have the option to clear the G-list which will fail nine out of ten times. The only option is to use a software translator, which I'm pretty sure Salvation Data doesn't support. You'll need to get the drive to someone with proper tools (AKA PC-3000).

OR I'm thinking to buy new one because SD tools become expired :(

update

I found the probleme for this HDD, I wana to share it!
The probleme is in a HEAD, I found H0 is damage, and H1 is still alive
So I make Image with selective head, it take 1 week, afterthat I'll make headswap from donor :)

:D Nice trying. Clicking sound is quite aloud. Once you got that sound, no power connection any more.
