I think anyone with questions or helpful tips would be posting them in the DFL user forum, where they are more likely to find support and users familiar with DFL programs, rather than here. Programs that run on DFL PCIe also run of on DFL-SRP and other DFL hardware so I don't see the point of a separate topic just for DFL PCIe.

I don't think I've ever seen your nickname on DFL's forums, so perhaps you don't have a current/valid membership, hence the interest in guidance and discussion on this forum?

Mr Larry ,
Who Told Mr dimitry To Create This Sub Section On HDDguru ? . If This Was Done On Behalf Of DFL Request i see no reason why we cannot have a discussion here .If Mr Dimitry [ Owner Of HDDGuru ] Created This On His Own Though I do not see any reason of DFL commenting and helping users here .So whats what only Mr Dimitry Can Tel Us .

Considering the previous post in this DFL forum was made in November 2016. I would consider this part of the forum pretty much dead and a bad place to ask questions. The long dead SD forum gets more posts.

Hi Amarbir,

I never suggested DFL users shouldn't be allowed or welcome to post questions/tips here, simply that they would have a greater chance of getting support and a response by posting in the DFL users forum. Some of the information in the DFL forum (user guides, programs, etc.) is explicitly not to be shared with non-DFL users, as you know, and that is probably one reason for so few posts in the HDDGuru and other forums.

@kulits143, I think DFL products fill a real need for those wanting to get into data recovery but who are not (yet) prepared to make the considerable investment in a PC3K (with its non-transferable license). It's far from perfect but it's also grossly underrated, in my view. You should feel free to ask questions about their products in this sub-forum and to help others, but as I said, the time would be more effectively spent doing that in the DFL users form, where everyone uses at least one DFL product. Do you already belong to that forum, or have you tried to register? DFL are a very accommodating bunch who try very hard to please their users, and who strive to make their products excllent. They don't always promptly respond to requests for help/information, but their users try to fill in where they can.

If you are new to data recovery, you will probably find the HDDOracle forum more helpful than HDDGuru, because it caters to those wanting to learn DR and is much more open with information. HDDGuru is also very helpful but there is some reluctance to share information that may embolden casual users to do anything that might jeopardize recovery of their (or heaven forbid, a client's) data. In any case, welcome.
