Hi,

I wonder if any of the popular NAND data recovery suites Rusolut (VNR Software), PC-3000 flash, Flash Extractor, or any else, is able to save the reconstructed logical image to a file, to allow post-processing by third-party data recovery softwares.

I tried finding this feature in online documentations but could not.

Thanks.

Unlike other tools, in VNR you can save ANYTHING at ANY step, including logical image of course.
Just open dump viewer on the element you need (e.g. Log.Image) and SAVE ALL/SAVE SELECTED to file (classic binary format).

As far as I know, you can also save the image as a binary file in PC-3000 Flash. It's basically a modified version of Data Extractor. See the screenshot?

Flash Extractor can save an image post mix by choosing "Save Image" in the assembler so you can use another DR application (eg: R-Studio)
There are also a few hacks for saving a image inside the mix (eg: Raw Assembler & v5 mode)

So, the answer is, the big 3 allow you to save out to image file. However, in most cases, the file system recovery is the easy part of a chip off recovery.
