Hi,

I desperately need some help. I had an incident where my usb (which was inserted in the labptop) has become faulty. The laptop fell and landed on the side the USB was in and the USB can no longer be read/recognised. I am a teacher and have lost documents and lessons that I have been planning and creating since the summer. Probably over 1000 resources. I know i am an idiot for not backing up these documents.

I have attached some photos and hoping anyone can help me retrieve the data from the usb or at least just tell me that it isn't retrievable so i can have some sort of closure.

Thank you in advance, I am a complete novice so any help or advice would be appreciated.

Cracked usually means lost forever.

But all depends on your luck.

In this flash model, memory module is placed on bottom part of chip and it cover place to middle part of connector. So it is probably broken too :( But to confirm I suggest microscope inspection.

I would recommend sending to Arvika, he is the best chance if anything can be done.

Would you be obliging to look at it? I know i'm based in the UK but I would send it to you. I understand that you are very busy, I would wait until after the Christmas period to send it to ensure it isn't lost in the Christmas flurry of post! I appreciate your reply, thank you.

Thank you, I fully intend to - if Arvika obliges that is! :)

Sure. You can send. Checking if nand is alive or not is not so much work. But remember that chance is low.
