Hello everybody,

I have here a ExcelStor J680 which where the PCB is broken (IDE).
I already ordered a new PCB as donor.
My question is: What do I have to replace/switch so the new PCB works with the HDD?

thanks in advance

Others can answer if some pcb adaptation is necessary, but IMHO it would be easier/cheaper to just fix the connector.

It's a Hitachi, possibly HDS722580VLAT20.

    U7 = ROM
    U5 = NVRAM

That's exactly what this series is. IIRC they were made on retired or licensed tooling. Other Excelstor drives are IC35L040AVVA07 or IC35L080AVVA07 drives.
