And by the way on this PCB what points did you short ?

If I lift the PCB or cut the reading channel, the HDD does not read the F copy and I can not restore copies 0 and 1

With your modded NVRam i can't restore copy 0 as well. It restores the modules on another / wrong place. Did you restore by writing modules ? If so did you patch something on RAM to restore the original NVRAM ?

After starting the HDD you have to do an SA STRUCT TEST, and after giving an error in all the modules, you will write the modules and write them.

If I have it working. The only thing that takes a second more than leaving BSY.

Ok ... I will test that .... You say to test SA first with region blocked on NVRam ?

If after changing the values of the SA entries in the NVRAM, the SA test is performed and if the RSVDs give OK and the others all errors, the modules can be recorded.

Are you changing back the NVRam to original code or you do that only when you finish to record the modules back ?

Yes, I have recovered the HDD.
I have to broach the access to the copies of SA modifying the NVRAM before doing the test.
I modify NVRAM.
I turn on the HDD and enter RDY.
I charge the LDR.
I do the SA test. (If it gives OK in the RSVD, it is a good signal).
I write the modules.

a greeting

RRRssssss

It's writing to the NEW address and not to the old .....

But wait ....

This is quite stupid .... If i can write to a new track/SAT place to start with even without code there ....

I will try to load from safe mode with PCB lifted (i relieve 2 screws near the head connector and drive don't read SA) then if i screw the screws they will make contact and drive will be exactly like it is with changed regions but ... with correct regions ....

Then i should be able to WRITE to SA ....

Let me try.

Once the NVRAM is changed you do not have to lift the PCB at all or the HDD will not read the copy F. If you want later in the evening, in our schedule we can make another TV, if it is not any inconvenience for you.
I find a problem after this and that is that the MRTLAB is not able to read the F copy after recovering the HDD, but if it is to rewrite and then read.

I know that !!!

The "problem" is that your MRT somehow either send a correct NVRam to RAM or account for the shift on the firmware. With SeDiv if i change the regions and then if i WRITE modules back I CAN WRITE but they are written to WRONG LOCATION so if i change regions back to original drive still clicks and if i change regions back to patched value modules that i did write are still there !!! Writing with SeDiv with patched NVRam doesn't write copy 0 to original copy 0 location of modules, it does write to another place/track on SA !!!

So either i do short the PCB and write the modules with native NVRam loaded or i can try to account for the changes with vendor specific commands ... or i can try to see what is going on on RAM with HRT....

You can't. No longer on sale and no longer updated since many years now. Used units are close to impossible to buy as well ....

:D

Please tell me what points did you short on the PCB to prevent reading. I want to try that.
