Can I see it's ROM? Interesting case. Someone load an incompatible loader into it. There is a small collection. And from refarb too. Maybe something will be selected.

Unfortunately, I do not have a loader compatible with this ROM and there is no ROM under the overlays 2013.10.06. I can only suggest that the prototype was ST3000DM001-1CH166-899. So there is no need for an unlock. It is only necessary to make compatible ROM and overlays. In this case, I can only offer a risky solution from myself: put an available seagate updateer under 1CH166 into the disk. I have version CC29.

If you have LBA access already and terminal access, then I wouldn't bother with trying to update the firmware or anything like that. You can read system file 93 by just using y-modem and the T>r93 command. Turn off all the stuff in the SAP control flags menu, then write it back using the T>w93 command and y-modem.

If for some reason that doesn't work, you can still turn off most of those functions using the F command in terminal manually. It's a bit more complex to explain how to do that, but it should work. Just shoot me a PM if you need help. I don't mind doing a remote session sometime next week.

That should resolve the speed issues.

I analyzed my refer Rom
in container segment ID 22 000100 ----030000 at both section in Rom (000000-3FFFF,40000-7FFFF)
I found
16 000040 BootFW-DIR
15 000048 General Data
0E 000248 IAP
10 000658 BootFW
03 018000 SFW
0B 02E000 Shell
00 02F100 end container

Interesting , all data in segments at two section are the same

You are in the wrong direction headed. If you so want to learn ROM, then here is the F3romExplorer tool https://yadi.sk/d/SpRqMHhE3Vqkvq
And if you do not have access to the UA, then look for a way to fill compatible overlays.
I gave you an updater. And here is another, LodEdit utility:
https://yadi.sk/d/ps0J3Kns3A3KY9
You can disassemble the updater and with the F3romExplorer collect the image CC29 from your own ROM.
Then the updater will be a LOADER for your CC29.

In your screenshot, the disk has readiness in the ATA registers. Download CC29 loader by ATA. If the ABRT or ERR fails to appear in the registers, use the module "CFW_DISK" from the CC29 loader. This is your 3D loader for MRT. Use the virtual load in MRT.
For dates: do not pay attention. This is me for myself - to identify different versions of the same firmware.

Sorry, stupid.))) Of course, not an MRT, but PC3K. But the meaning is the same, only the names are different.
