Hello friends
Recently I saw bitlocker encrypted disk without password / key was easily decrypted in pc3000 udma .
Mine is old version as i have not updated in 2 years.
My question is how its possible? Bitlocker uses 4 different types of AES algorithams which is US govt. official standards for storing sensitive data. It takes trillions of years to get the key even if all supercomputing power in the world is combined.
Then how it was done in pc3000 ? What are limitations , in which case it is not possible.
Which type of AES algorithams are supported in pc3000 ?
Can someone pls. answer my query.

I never seen anything that could decrypt Bitlocker. PC3k also can't. Where did you see it?

No, you still need a password or key.

New version can find Bitlocker partition in RAW results. It's good if first sectors are bad. But still password is needed. They presented the new feature in Prague this april.

the password is not need if Bitlocker metadata has an Open Key (ie auto unlock feature)

Thanks Doomer & spildit.
That means pc3000 can only decrypt those cases where Bitlocker Auto unlock feature is enabled and will not be able to recover if not enabled . If password is known then can we decrypt key manually in pc3000 ?

Yes, for auto-unlock "open key" password is not needed, else password is needed to decrypt in DE (and all other programs)
And newest version of DE you can mount Bitlocker partition from RAW if main meta is damaged or can not be read.

Is there any other (software like M3) based solution other than pc3000 to decrypt in such cases (auto unlock open key).
Lots of peoples are not having updated pc3000 also those who are not having pc3000 will benefit .
thanks

you may read the Bitlocker online manual and do it manually by the Command Line
those Apps. are doing the same (almost) but in GUI
