Hello,
I have a SP USB Drive 8GB and when I plug it to my system then no drive mounted. I tried some tools like "wipe", "dd" and "HDDLLF". All of them wiped the drive but not matter. No partition created or...
These are some information:
Code:
# mkfs.ext4 /dev/sdc
mke2fs 1.44.5 (15-Dec-2018)
Warning: could not erase sector 2: Input/output error
Creating filesystem with 1890624 4k blocks and 473280 inodes
Filesystem UUID: 6952ec20-6c05-4fbe-9553-a0d508ded56c
Superblock backups stored on blocks:
   32768, 98304, 163840, 229376, 294912, 819200, 884736, 1605632

Allocating group tables: done
Warning: could not read block 0: Input/output error
Warning: could not erase sector 0: Input/output error
Writing inode tables: done
Creating journal (16384 blocks): done
Writing superblocks and filesystem accounting information:  0/58

And:
Code:
# dmesg
[90046.173852] print_req_error: I/O error, dev sdc, sector 0
[90046.173857] Buffer I/O error on dev sdc, logical block 0, async page read

I used the SP format utility too but...
Any way to fix this drive?

Thank you.

Do you need the data? If so then it's the wrong approach. If not then it's not worth it, get a new one.
