No DR needed, only drive repair.

1) fix STUFF 2) check and eventually fix firmware-must at least start decently 3) selfscan. In this order.

In that case you have to write the first 4 sectors of vendor track.....of course from an identical model.

Get an identical model and copy vendor track, first 4 blocks are sufficient.

You mean that the type for this drive should be Type=39 and not Type=30 ?
And I have to change it by Y command ?

30 is 4 heads which is fine according to application code
you need to fix stuff because it's empty
"Stuff" contains ID information on Seagate drives (like model name and LBA sectors number, so it's important)
Stuff located on vendor track

Hi, it is best to contact someone who has the experience. You will nt be able to find step by step solution, and you will need expensive equipment. Pepe is one member you can contact.
