Measure the voltages with the PCB off the drive. That should identify the Read Channel.

Seagate hard drives which have this triangular PCBs shape have locked firmware.
On this type of drive, terminal communication is not locked usually (you can see 'spin up' script on power on), it just doesn't accept any command you give.
Shorting read channel will not help, you need to unlock firmware from utility.
MRT (last release) has this new function in utility (see picture below), but i never tested if it really works, of course pc3000 has too this function in utility and very likely it works for all hdd models.

After shorting I can get F3, but it doesn't accept any command, it produces FAIL SERVO then goes to LED 00000BD

After reaching F3, I tried Firmware Unlock, pic attached...

After 'Succeed to unlock', can you get access to sys files via serial mode?

After shorting, I can reach F3, (at this stage the HDD SPIN DOWN) and it doesn't accept any command as stated.

Then after using FW unlock it shows successful

NO, I can't Read Sys Files

I think it's not yet unlocked, very likely the MRT 'Succeed to unlock' message is only a fake.
I'm sorry, at the moment the only tool that is really able to unlock this drive is PC3000 (last version)!
