Hi Group,

I post here and try to help out as much as I can, so I hope the admin won't mind this post. We developed a windows-based secure erase/secure wipe tool, out of an own in-house need, that you may be interested in using. The main feature that separates it from other wiping tools is that it wipes multiple drives simultaneously. We're getting some decent speeds(18-22MB/s with 2 drives connected via USB2.0) from our testing. We used to use dd since it was free (/dev/zero or /dev/random), but quickly got a queue of drives since it could only do one at a time. Our tool, called Multi-wipe, can wipe any drive that appears as a physical device(via IDE, USB, IEEE1394, etc.). And there is a protective feature that ensures you don't wipe your boot drive!

Anyway, I'm offering a discount of $39(pay the regular price of $79 and I'll refund you $39) to you guys because I know a lot of you could use it. And I know I can count on this group to beat it up and critique it. There are some minor issues with certain older drives, but our feedback so far has been really good.

Website: www.multiwipe.com, download the demo (only wipes 1/3 of the drive), then purchase the license and register using the license.

In the comments, put "GURU" so I know you heard about it here.

Thanks for allowing the mini-commercial.

Andy
