Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB
S/N: 3320620A
Model: ST3320620A
Type: PATA (IDE)
P/N: 9BJ04G-305
Firmware: 3.AAE
Site Code: TK
Country: Thailand
Date Code: 07277

This is out an external Maxtor USB Hard Disk Drive. The Maxtor stopped working so I removed the disk only to find one of the chips on the PCB had signs of damage (scorch marks on surface). The chip has the word SMOOTH on it. The rest of the circuits look fine and the other main chip has ST and the following code 10040419 on it. As always the disk has a lot of photos that are not backed up elsewhere. I would like to try and resurrect the disk but need some help:

1. Where can I get a replacment PCB? I understand the model and firmware must be exact. Anyone with one for sale please post a response and I'll get in touch.

2. I've read that I may have to transfer the ROM over to the new PCB (if I find one!) for the drive to work correctly. Is there a guide to this process?

Thanks.
