Last night I was using my desktop as I normally would, shut it down like I normally would, basically everything was normal. This morning I wake up to an error. It seems that my hard drive isn't being recognized by BIOS.

When I boot up the system hangs for a few moments while reading the hard drives. It hangs at different spots depending on

I've tried connecting the hard drive to different SATA ports. When I touch the hard drive I can feel it spinning. There are no noises coming from it.

I did some research here and I'm guessing it's a bad transistor or "SA"? I'm located in Orlando Florida. Is there any tech familiar with this drive that would be willing to work on it?

If everything sounds normal, then it 95% has the now notorious firmware issue.

The 0 LBA issue? I'm way too inexperienced to try and do any of the stuff listed in the tutorial. How do I go about finding a tech in my area?

There may be someone local to you who watches the boards; but if looking for a tech, an honest price for this type of fix would be $400 max. If that.

But I would be weary of someone claiming to do it for sub $100 as well, as they are probably inexperienced guys just following a guide.

I am not familiar with reputable companies in your area but I am certain they do exist; maybe someone can recommend one.

I'm not super-local but fairly close. I sent you a PM.
