Did some of you - beside me, of course  - investigated the organisation of the Marvell chips used on WD , Samsung and other HDDs , especially the DSP part ? Seems that there's a great world inside....

PM ONLY and NOT for beginners and who hasn't anything serious to discuss or contribute, sorry.

Yes there were. In any case it's like "swan song" for me and remain only for educational purpose. The puzzle is almost complete - but maybe manufacturers are shifting to other platform(s) - and it is interesting how these little but powerful things work. Closed !

Hmmm. Ok.

You often post topics on a public forum where you ask for advice & etc., but require that the responder reply via private message.

You inevitably announce that you were able to solve the esoteric puzzle puzzle by yourself, but, of course, never post any details except say that it all was for "educational purposes."

I envy you, BlackST. Not simply for your brilliance and ingenuity. No, I envy that you apparently have a lot of time for play and somehow manage to make a living or else have the benefit of a stipend . . .
:)

My hat's off to you, Jono-ats! I was beginning to think if I was the only one to think that BlackST is a guy with way too much time on his hands. How else can you amass almost 3000 posts on this site?! His experimentation into the obscure realms of data recovery- sort of like how many bytes can dance on the head of a pin- have become a source of amusement to me. Keep up the good work, BlackST.

This deserves an answer :

1) I want to discuss deep technical questions only in PM or eventually we can meet on MSN or other IM eventually to start team working. If you want, you can talk live with me too like many others do, from this forum and from other. Just drop me a PM with contact.
This because I don't want to feed people that don't deserve or who doesn't have anything to share. I'm not social service nor endorse some kind of culture.

2) Of course details and results are not to be published on open forum. But if you need something drop me a PM. Of course I won't answer to every noob or people "born tomorrow" that want help for free.

2) Yes I have some time for playing. Sometimes it's better to invest for the future and ON the future instead of "click and go" solutions

Best regards !

P.S. sorry for one post immediately after another : luckily I don't have to be at office to post thanks to technology, and the best of being MY BOSS, is that I decide what is good and what's not and at what time (see the posting time and you'll discover that.....) to do things. Without the risk of becoming or be poor, but this is another story. Anyway, who knows me OUTSIDE this forum , knows.
Oh, hope it's not starting a thread about me.
Period.... 8)
