Here we go:
A burnt processor is a clean sign of the fact that the +5V power line got some overvoltage, and besides maybe the 12V too.
But preamp receives this 5V directly on these models (I mean there is no switching element that could have prevented the overvoltage reaching the preamp), so the preamp is probably in the same condition as the toasted ICs are.
U12 and U3 might have survived the disaster because they run on +3.3V alimentation, do not receive +5V.
2060-701335 REVA is the criteria, but 2060 and 70 rarely changes...
After swapping U12 U get an identical board (if U12 is fine of course).
Generally, if U get this board, swap U12 u can have 3 chances:
1. the drive does not spin up at all -> U12 is toasted too, U've got no more options, need pro help
2. Drive spins but clicking -> Preamp is gone, need pro help
3. Drive initializes correctly -> U may thank God and make a backup using a different power supply

THANKYOU
That was a truly perfect reply =)
I am very grateful for your time. I have now learnt things that I had no idea about before.
I dont claim to be professional, but at least with this knowledge im better off then before.
Also i am almost certain that there was a short on the 5V line. This re-enforces your answer too.
I think the 12v line was fine.
I will try switching the PCB.
What is a price range for PCB's? i know it will vary on where i buy it from etc. But i dont want to get ripped off.
And yes buying a PCB WILL be much less then going to a pro, so even if im getting ripped, it would still be cheaper, even though it might not work.
Thankyou again pepe, you have taken you time to help someone less knowledgeable.
You have become a greater person.
